So, I’ve decided to take the 52 films challenge proposed by Women in Film. The idea of the challenge is to watch 52 movies by female directors this year – one for each week. To make the challenge easier, I went through Netflix and found every movie by a female director that is currently available to stream (in the United States). Below are nearly 150 films for you to select from. And if you’re interested in finding directors who might not be available to stream, you should check out The Director List. It has a database of more than 850 female directors.
